Pediatric Physical Therapist

Hi! I’m Anyssa and I am so excited to be back at First Step as a Physical Therapist!

I grew up in Monroe and loved spending timing with family and playing soccer and volleyball. I went to the University of Washington and earned my Bachelors in Biochemistry. I loved being close to family while in college and was fortunate enough to continue my journey at UW for PT school. I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington and was blessed with amazing professors and my cohort.

Some of you may recognize me from the Front Desk at First Step. While I was in PT school, I was lucky enough to work at First Step Pediatric Therapy. This helped my learning tremendously and fostered my love for working with kids. I am blessed to be back. I have always loved working with kids and love their creative minds. It is so special for me to see their discoveries big and small. I love building connections with children and their families.

One specific passion of mine is helping kids explore mobility in all forms. While at UW I was involved in their GoBabyGo program and got the chance to build a ride on car. While I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, paddle boarding and snuggling my cat.
